rthday, according to Inman. Police asked her how her race related to the arrest and Cutshaw responded, “you’re a cop, you should know what that means.”
The arresting officer noted in a report that “making statements such as these as a means to justify not being arrested are unusual in my experience as a law enforcement officer and I believe further demonstrate the suspect’s level of intoxication.”
Cutshaw s breathalyzer test results were double the state s legal limit and she was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, ignoring a stop sign and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to Inman. Her arrest garnered national attention due to the nature of her unusual statements.
